Hi and welcome to the board.
First thing to do is put your location in your profile...so that people know where you are from. Maybe there are people with great skills living in your neighborhood.
It will be not easy to find a person who want to do that. Companies don't want to work on old vintage watches so you have to find a needle in a haystack. Most people here are collectors so they also want to own such a watch like the chronosplit.
We all do some refurbishing as a hobby cause we know how difficult it is and no guarantee that it will work or stay working. So most of the time we buy bad (need refurbishing) watches just in the hope we can make them going again. But we all had our share of disappointments.
So maybe you're lucky and someone will take the job on....how much do they have to ask for it with no guarantee it will stay working. It's not that easy.
Post some shots of the watch so we all have an idea how bad the damage is.
