Recently got contacted out of the blue by some nice chap in the States
Had just picked himself up a 2nd A829 but it had some issues
We got talking and he sent it over to me here in the UK. Quite the fitting story as he used to work for NASA in the space shuttle program at the Johnson Space Center in Houston from 1988-2000. The A829 shown in the link below ( his first A829 ) bought at auction in 2004 was worn by astronaut Karl Henize aboard the space shuttle Challenger aboard mission STS-51F in 1985. Which was the only space shuttle mission to have a main engine fail on the way to orbit! The other two engines were able to compensate and the mission executed successfully.
( This information was provided by the chap who contacted me )
Here is the link to the auction

I really enjoyed this one, Both myself and Robert were a little cautious of each other I suppose after meeting out of the blue and him putting trust in some email address he found through google searches. For me it's another saved Digital Seiko and another happy owner
Till the next one.....
