Can I place the movement from a seiko 0532 5019 into a seiko

Post25 Aug 2015, 22:24

Hi Everyone

Please could someone help me.

Can I place the movement from a seiko 0532 5019 into a seiko 0532 5029 case ?

The watches look very similar . I have the 0532 5029 and the movement does not work. I saw the 0532 5019 for sale and thought maybe I can swap out the inner movement and place it into my good case.

Please can someone advise me. They look the same watches , but I have looked via google and cant find any info out on whether its ok to swap over the inners.

I'm not sure anyone will know , but perhaps if you have knowledge of this please could you let me know.

I am new lcd collector and learning the master craft.

Thanks all

Justin.

I have added some pics, above is the 0532 5029. Below is the 0532 5019.

They look v similar.

So yes , if anyone knows whether the inners would be ok to swap around please comment with your expertise !

thanks a lot

You should be able to do a straight swap as they are both the same calibre. The only difference that may occur when switching the same calibre modules among Seiko digital is that they change the lcd panel design. It doesn't look to be the case in your watches.
