Batteries leakage prevention

Post10 Mar 2019, 21:25

Hello,

I have several LED watches and some, I do not wear them often.
For example, my Pulsar P4 and my Pulsar Calculator still work with the same batteries for 2 years.
Do you think it would be better to change them every year or can I wait until the batteries are empty?
I’m afraid about the battery leakage.
I specify that I use Renata or Varta batteries.

Thank for help.

Totally agree, I'll need to be disciplined into checking my watches occasionally, it's very easy to let then sit in their cases and let the batteries run dry. I paid dearly with my Seiko 6034-5019 movement. Had to completely overhaul the movement and while I got it to working condition it's still has issues in the time setting and chrono modes...
