Yes, I did.
For the mathematically inclined, I can serve as a proof of existence.
I ordered my Synchronar just before the turn of the century. It was delivered over three years later, only to die in less than a year.
I called Roger, and sent it back for a warranty repair. My timing was unfortunate, since this was only a few months before Roger passed away. Since I did not want to bother the family in the midst of their grief, I sort of let the matter rest.
About a year later, I discovered Howard here in one of the DWF forums, and started to negotiate to get my watch back, repaired or not. This went on for such a long time, I was at the point of giving up, when Howard suddenly decided to send me the watch.
He was kind enough to include one spare Lexan shell, plus one quartz crystal. On the other hand, he had also melted two holes in my watch, despite the fact that I had told him not to.
There you have it. At least one person has had his watch sent back by Howard, after sending it in for a repair. It did not come back in working order, but that did not seem to be a requirement.
