I sent my Synchronar in for service (via Authorized Camera Repair) 18 months ago. One of the reasons my watch took so long to repair was that it was one of Howard Riehl's last watches, and since he couldn't gel fill them he glued the case together. Hanno couldn't get it apart without destroying the case. So he now has an all new module (I haven't yet found out what parts of the original watch he uses, if any). The watch isn't waterproof, but no repaired Synchronar is. The back as shown is a plastic prototype, the full production versions will be in nicer stainless, I can purchase one of those when it is released. The batteries are fully serviceable, there are 4 and they last around 5 years. It was hard to take a photo of the display, the LEDs are apparently pulsed, but I did my best. Nice to get my watch back and fully functional.
