Hewlett Packard HP01

Post08 Dec 2018, 13:01

My HP 01 finally arrived and for once, in better condition than i could have hoped. I managed to set the time and date (thanks Bucko). The watch is a strange mix, supplied to Yokohama in Japan, from a French supplier, to a man with an English name , with booklet in French ! It came with stylus, 2 x battery holders, pamphlet titled "and it also tells the time" battery replacement sheet (both in English). Unfortunately no box and short by a few links (anyone have any they're willing to sell ? ) But the real spooky bit is , written on the back page , a note from 1989 saying "Contact Miss Norma Lacey H.P "   Thats my surname

Thanks Led-Time, i'm keeping my eyes open for some links and a box, i have a spring loaded bracelet extender on it as a temporary measure so i can wear it. Seems that even the R.A.F. ones go for good money though
