M a j e s t y k M-II Coming...

Post05 Jan 2007, 11:06

The M a j e s t y k M-II will be available next week. For the M-I owners, it's the same watch except it has a colored lens, and M-II on the back plate. The M ajestyk text is reflective "stainless steel" color and is embedded in the crystal.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hm, nice :)
What material is the colored lens? Not plastic, I hope.
Does th M-II still have the inner color filter like the M-I? I guess it wouldn't be necessary and it'd make the display look even sharper of you leave it away.

Plastic? Blasphemy! :) The crystal is made out of mineral glass and looks much better than in these photos. There's a very thin filter (not noticeable from the outside of the lens) that is inside and it's easy to remove if the user doesn't want it. I just thought it hid the unlit numbers a little.

That's what I have been waiting for. What's the price and how do I get it?

Jeff,

Are the blue digits as easy to read as the red LED digits on the Majestyk II? Thanks

They are both easy to read. Some have told me they find the blue display even better than the red.

The blue display is so f***ing bright you can even use it as a replacement for a keychain light. No joking, you can see the blue light on the ceiling when you read it in a dark room. Wow 8) 8)

Just to update again, the M-II is available now. It came in early. So the fixed price listing I have on Ebay is no longer a preorder.

Thanks,

Jeff

M-II (red) arrived today. Wow, even better than the M-I. The display is sharper and the red crystal looks beautiful.

Thanks Rewolf!

Concerning the M-II photos...The crystals shown on my site and auctions are the actual ones from the M-II watches; I just put them in place of the M-1 photos. I didn't want one watch looking better or radically different than the other so that's why I used the cases from the M-1.

I will say, the crystals and reflective text are much better looking than in the photos. The blue crystal is a little lighter in color in my photos and but again, it looks better on the actual watch.

Errr, photos are a bit difficult, I don't have a camera. I can use the one we have at work, but no proper lighting setup, etc - the photos would never look better than majestyk's...
I second that the M-II display looks better in reality than even on majestyk's photos. I was really positively surprised. The segments are sharper than the M-I's because there is a different type of filter - it's now an adhesive deep-red film on the display instead of 1mm-thick red plastic. This brings the display very close to the rear of the crystal. The crystal is only coated red inside, but it still looks like all-red glass. The writing is reflective and it's on the rear side between the glass and the red coating. (MJ, please correct me if I wrote anything wrong ).

My Majestyk and I love it, now where's the disco.......

Nice size comparison to the Pulsar I and Omega Time Computer II. You don't notice the splash of the numbers on the screen, that is an artifact of the exposure setting.

Get the P3 if you don't have one. I think it's the nicest of the Pulsars, although the P2 (time only or date) is a bit more of a classic since it's their first case...Well not counting the P1.

I like the Majestyk watch. I think I've seen one before. :)

I have a blue M-1 and can confirm the LED's are very bright. I love the watch! How modern LED's should be made!!

I think I'll be having a red M-2 as and when my funds allow.
