Led wire bond repair kit

Post31 May 2007, 15:10

Found this.....

http://cgi.ebay.com/LED-WATCH-WIRE-BOND ... dZViewItem

Not something I'll ever use due to a shaking thumb but for anyone else who's got a steady hand it could be useful.

Fronz,
You can hate me if you want to, but I've had too many problems with foreign bidders and I don't want to deal with unfriendly and uncooperative buyers anymore that want to disregard the rules of my auctions and do things their way. I know that most foreign bidders are probably nice responsible people, but most of the ones I've encountered are not and I just decided not to sell outside the U.S. any more. Perhaps you know someone here that can bid on these tools for you and send them to you if you win. Anyway, have good time in Tokyo.

We are definitly at the dawn of a new age in digital watch collecting, when people start hawking custom tools for repair and maintenance. It is amazing what can become a tool at 40X!! 8)

fronz - I still owe you one for that "digital gift", so I would handle for free.

Hope you didn't get it wrong, the "hate" was meant sarcastic, i put the smiley to (hopefully) make that clear. :P

I dont hate you of course, but to be honest: I really hate the "Dont sell outside US" style, this is kinda ignorant, i am sure there are as many bad people at the US like in Europe. I can understand if sellers refuse to deal with 3rd world countries like Nigeria (They are so famous a type of scam is called after that country), but just generally "US only, everyone else is scam" is a bit poor at times of globalization.

Oh and retroleds - thanks for the kind offer, i may get back onto that. :D

"Foreign" bidders are my best customers. :) Anyway this kit would be good for the Astro watches I have with missing segments/numbers. :)

On the "won't sell outside USA" issue. I too love my European and "other" buyers, very polite and patient for the most part. The problem is not with the buyers, it is with customs and such in other countries. Within the USA we don't have to worry about packages being opened, and packages coming in the USA are rarely opened. Suggestions:(a)use clean, professional looking packaging and labels;(b) make your package look like it comes from a business; and(c) only ship one item per box - even thieving customs workers will rarely leave a box empty. :P Oh, and put blob of glue(Liquid Nails is my favorite) on every flap of the box and use the fiberglass reinforced paper tape - make them f'n work for it and let there be no doubt it was opened in transit.

Good luck to those of you who are comfortable selling outside the U.S., but it's just not for me.

Fronz,
Sorry I missed your smiley face, I guess I was concentrating on the words. BWT, I've never dealt with any third world countries.

Klippie,
I can't give away my trade secrets.
