Your thoughts on this kind of marketing!

Post27 Sep 2007, 05:44

HI I found this watch for sale and, as it is described, it has not been opened. It seems that this week there are quite a few LED watches that fit this category.

I am wondering if any of you are familiar with this vendor and if this kind of offer is worth the risk?

My gut feeling says that there is not much chance that a watch like this could be made to work or it would have been fixed before the sale. Especially considering the difference in price that a working one would bring.

Thank you in advance for your response. I am new to collecting LED watches and have purchased some very nice ones. I do not yet have any date command or date II watches.

Thank you for taking time to respond.

More than likely it won't work but it could be made to work with the proper know how. It's hit and miss and roll of the dice. I wouldn't go near it unless I could see the module.

Thanks Jeff,
I'm with you on that. There seem to be many choices in pulsars out there right now. I did recognize the seller's 'handle'. Seems to be doing quite a bit of trading in watches. That is what makes me skeptical.

Yep, it's a regular led bidder, don't touch it with a bargepole.

He seems to be buying unknown lots and turning them over as singles. Doesn't seem to be getting many(any) to work. :-? Must be why he is dumping his Zanoni books on ebay and Amazon.com
