Early Synchronar Hadley SS Japan sport band.

Post03 Mar 2008, 22:04

Like climbing a mountain i have more to offer at ebay.Sad that a guy selling a $3.00 magazine can pump up feedback score easier than high dollar items that i usually sell.If repeat customers score was counted and credit for delivering high dollar items were a factor my feedaback would be just fine.I understand the rules are set to prevent friends buying and selling from each other all the time but it hits hard when there is a unique product with limited market. For instance i have about $4,000 worth of + feedback that is not accounted for just because i already satisfied them in the past. Then there are 2 negative feedbacks left from folks who had already given me at least 1 positive in the past but it counts against the score/% of course.

Maybe i should start selling band pins and magnets instead of working Synchronars at Ebay? I have learned not to offer second chance offers on things not ready to ship.

For now i am going with these classic sport bands that pre date the preferred heavy duty Duchess/Hadley band used throughout most of the years.

item # 2802058591838

p.s a seller is reselling some watches he bought from my brother at ebay and has changed the description to MK III instead of the confusing MK 3/4 .I told him how simple it was to tell the difference by simply looking to see if the serial # begins with a 4 ,otherwise a black bottom is a MK III period.

Just like work, you're only as good as your last day(sale in this case). :-)

OK Retro I will give you that one since we are talking about ebay God and the governing rules of tradeing there.Normally a good worker/watchmaker/salesman has a bad day, week. The boss always knows they will perform tripple the next day or week.If you have 1 bad transaction does that mean everything else helpful or contibuteing you did prior for the collecting community is meaningless? I don't think so.IMHO

I was surprised you bothered to bring it up is all Howard, but the analogy applies: no matter how many good transactions, one bad one and things could be going bad forever. Let's use a lover analogy: if your lover was faithful for years, but then you found out they were banging the neighbor while you were at work, would their past performance mean much to you? Probably not. :x

I was glad to read you've learned that selling something that isn't actually available is a bad idea, unless that is made TOTALLY clear at the time of sale. Most people figure anything, can be shipped from anywhere on the planet, in 3 weeks or less. Even using the cheapest mail service available.

I wish you luck with the sale - if you want to edit your initial post and remove the commentary about the feedback, I'll be happy to smudge out the details of the ugly past from mine.

Yeah yeah but remember the Synchronar and ALL electronic products of the 70,s to 90,s available strickly through mail order were sold through mail order with expected wait time of 4-8 weeks. Most all Synchronar/Sunwatches were sold this way.So nowadays with quick fast food and other expectations it is abnormal for a custom build request or wait time?
