Can't please them all.

It’s really a shame that people like you pollute and destroy for the honest and serious sellers on internet.

Erdal:
I have tried 100% more than is typical of a seller on ebay or elsewhere on the Internet. Live arrival is much better service than any ebay seller offers - they only claim live shipment and than the problem is STRICTLY yours. I at least TRIED to fix the problem, at no cost to you, and paid the return shipping. Which wasn't my problem at that point. "Honest and serious sellers"?- please write back and show me someone who offers coverage on vintage electric watches, after the watch has left their hands. I don't have a bad attitude toward you, I just cannot absorb YOUR problem. The watch had left my hands 16-17 days before, you acknowledged it was working great for a few days, after flawless performance for months before that whilst in my possession. Your expectation is regrettably, unrealistic. I did not make the watch, I don't know what you may have done to the watch(although you clearly had taken it to a buffer and blasted through the chrome plating across the front....possibly without removing the movement FIRST). I am not responsible for every unforeseen occurrence with the watch. My suggestion: Don't collect old watches if you are that distressed when they quit working - they die, just like old people and plants.

Ed

Ahhh, the customers at vintage watch business...expecting 30 year old watches to work flawlessly for the next 30 years while they wear it during space shuttle missions, while riding a rodeo or diving in the barent sea even after they polished the module with a wire brush.

I remember that one special customer who bought my cheapest Hong Kong LED watch which left him after several months. He sent me back the watch with the order to repair it asap but when i told him like "Uhm, dude i don't do quartz crystal replacements" he was like "OMG, scam, imma sue you, i lost my money". I really don't get why some people don't understand what "No warranty" means, i can only assume that in some parts of the worlds "absolutely No warranty" is translated into "less than 100 years warranty" or so.
There's people that would buy Hitler's 1943 Horch convertible and expect you to give free repairs if the transmission breaks down after 50.000 miles. "Hey waitress, what's the recommendation for today? Another restaurant."

I shipped the watch to Europe, the guy gets it and writes me saying," it's beautiful, thanks". A few day later he writes and says it stopped. He immediately goes for " Iwant my money back." I told him, "no, I guarantee live arrival, but as a courtesy, I will look at it, and if repairable I will do so and ship back at my cost. The watch is a BUlova driver - I've gone over the whole thing repeatedly, replaced the quartz(just in case), rep[laced the trimmer(ditto). It's problem is it is dim(bad driver transistor?) - it keeps perfect time and doesn't drain the batteries....I had to tell him it is relegated to being a nightime watch - quite readable in a theater or even outside on an overcast day.

I agree with your title "You can't please them all" and it would also be true to say that sometimes it's not worth trying
