My first Pulsar!

In hand anyway... I actually purchased a P3 yesterday that is on it's way. On my way home yesterday I stopped at an antique mall and found this and bought it for $30. From my research, I have found that it is a Y759-5019. I think it was released in 1980. It is in very good condition with very little wear. The most obvious wear that I can find is on the polished border around the bezel. The brushed areas including the band have very few and only fine scratches.

Does anyone know more about this watch? Had the Pulsar name already been purchased by Seiko in 1980? Thanks for any help.

I just found out that Seiko purchased the Pulsar name in 1979 so this would appear to be a Seiko with the Pulsar name on it. Would it be one of the first Seiko/Pulsars?

The Y759 is quite a nice module I have a couple on my site digitalwatchlibrary.com. I think it is one of the first modules after the takeover by Seiko. I recently picked up a Phaser with the same module so Seiko must have seen providing modules to them as well.
