Hamilton 955 module excessive battery draw problem

Does anyone have an idea what would cause excessive battery draw on a 955 module in a Hamilton watch. I have replaced the batteries twice, using the Duracell 386 and 301 Silver Oxide batteries and they do not last more than 3-4 day in the watch. The watch is not worn and I have had it sitting close by to watch it to see if it came on on its own, nothing. What would be causing this to happen?

Thank you for the response Jeff. I was beginning to wonder if I was even getting thru on this site. So far, I have replace the cells a 3rd time using ones I know were fresh and (Fingers Crossed) it is still running after 6 days. If it goes down again I am set up to test the module using a 3v Lithium cell. I will post back the results and either have good news of the module or planning a burial ceremony for it.

Watch is still working and keeping great time with batteries from the jeweler. Guess that teaches me a lesson about buying button cell batteries from Walmart.
