Yes, these models show up regularly. BTW - this is not the same Pulsar company as "Time Computer LED watch" company. Seiko bought the Pulsar name after they went out of business. This is basically the same watch as the look-alike Seiko model. But it's in good shape - and the price you paid wasn't ridiculous. You did ok.....

I think that was a steal especially with the original bracelet and key. They are nicely made as well. You can download the manual at my site

Ummm....item number 220736417668- looks familiar!

The Pulsar calc watch was pretty much a one off and there is no Seiko model like it. Instructions are available in a couple of places online if you google Pulsar and the calibre number- fairly od setting sequence!

Do tend to suffer from rubber failure under the keypad so check every button works when you get it.

Watch wasn't a bad price but the shipping was soemwhat expensive for what is essentially a "cheap" watch.

Quick Update.

The seller who was very honest... told me that about 4 of the buttons were lower then the others and sent me some pics!!

one of the buttons was totally pressed in.

I looked at some pictures of others and realised this wasnt right and i was offered a refund.

Also the seller has now updated the listing to reflect this so any other buyer will now be aware that there may be an issue with some of the buttons.

As folk have said on here already it was/is a very cheap watch anyway so still a bargain for someone...

So im quite happy with that really :-)

If you want a really good vintage LCD calc., look for the Seiko that has rectangular buttons, laid out about like a desktop calculator(below). That one uses nice gold contacts and none of that rubber bs. Old Tom is right, those rubber ones are rubbish. Not to be augmentative, but I believe Seiko did make one with that exact same layout...currently only coming up with their "Alba" branded one. Guess my mind blurred Alba and Seiko together(same company but not the same). Anywho..

My recommendation for a sturdy one..

That's the best looking Seiko calc model IMO. I didn't realize it had gold contacts. Look like you may have a 'holy grail' on you list markyd3. :-)
Good think you were able to get a refund on the other one.... sunk in buttons and all.

You won't regret it if you get one - Calc, time, date(alpha), running seconds, alarm, 1/100 chronograph, count down timer. Buttons big enough there was no need for a stylus - helps they pulled the 4 function buttons off to the side. Thicker, wider and taller than the Pulsar/Seiko/Alba, but it feel substantial without being heavy. The aformentioned feel a little light/cheap, IMO.

If you are on the lookout for a C515 always ask for a shot the back of the case and the buttons they seem to be prone to corrosion, I assume from sweat, I have seen quite a few with the backs ground out and pitting. Not sure what its made from but the C153 doesnt suffer this way.
