I just got an Armitron branded version of the Seiko D031 design (this one designated the Armitron LC415). The features are exactly the same as the Seiko. I put up a little gallery and description if anyone is interested:

My question is this:
If you push and hold the date button for 2 seconds, it goes into marquee mode where it continuously scrolls the time and date from right to left across the display. I was wondering if this uses more power and shortens the battery life as compared to the normal non-scrolling time display.
Aha... it is a small world (well, at least this particular niche is). if Ed could set up his own auction site, he'd give eBay a run.
Thanks Benrus! Yes, I rather like this little gem. It's like no other in my collection and it's quite sparkly with it's odd color changing mirrored face.
PRESS BUTTON AT SIDE AND IT WILL SCROLL ACROSS SHOWNING DAY DATE. IF KEEP PRESSED FOR 2 SECONDS IT WILL SCROLL CONTINUESLY THO NOT RECOMENDED= WILL DRAIN BATT QUICKLY.
so i'm not an expert but thats what i read at another discription of the d031.
btw i think i have to sent in mine for a photoshoot incredible pictures again Abe...just love to look at them.

Thanks for the heads up, I have now bought it. Now on the look out a gold version (either this or preferably D031 or Armitron) to go with it.

Pleased to have pointed it in the direction of a happy buyer.
Here's another that has also been mentioned recently on the forum, the Seiko F231, item number 140655884931, looks to be in great condition too.
