bought the watch..but more worse scratches then the pictures tell.
Thinking sending it back.

seller claims the band is original when he bought the watch 33 years ago???

the band has no seiko label..btw it's a black f231-500

Kasper I cant see the listing but every Seiko I have had is marked on the lugs or connector of the bracelet with a part number.

it was a bad call of me...fuzzy pictures..not easy to see the quality...seller claimed it was all original...somethimes you win, somethimes you loose.

seller replay :btw it's not all original..the band is not from Seiko" ----> I bought the Watch 33 years ago new with this band - it is original!!! If you are not satisfied, send me back the Clock with your int. Bankaccount number - you can get the Money back. - There are enough People some asked at this watch. - I have over 860 positive assesments in my ebay account - all idiots,-Idon`t think so! Best regards

taking about idiots and thinking cause he has 860 pos assesments that he is the king of ebay does not work with me...so...
shall i sent it back or keep it just for fun...50 euro is not that much???

Kasper,

It's still a neat watch - I'd give a go at restoring it. It's often surprising how much better they look with a little work. The scratches are usually fixable. The little nicks and dents, not so much, but it could still be a nice and very wearable watch, I think.

The guy's reply was daft, but the watch is nice and the band goes well
with it IMO (original or not) - plus it's a runner ! so I reckon you got 50 E's worth all in all.

I would take it on the chin, don't tell the wife and look out for another with a nice case and busted panel..
