John,

I was just curious - by "sold my watch collection", do you mean that you sold everything? Did you keep at least a couple of favorites? What do you wear day to day?

Hi Abe,

Good to hear from you, the only watch I wear is a 20 year old CASIO ALARM CHRONOGRAPH ILLUMINATOR, with regular hands and at the botom is an LCD display of date etc. This old watch reminds me of the slogan for TIMEX when I was growing up in Chicago "BUY A TIMEX IT TAKES A LICKIN AND KEEPS ON TICKING". Well this old Casio does the same thing and it still looks good.

To answer your question all I have left IS :::
A. OMEGA MARINE CHRONOMETER MODEL 1516 WITH ALL DOCUMENTS SS WITH 14K AROUND THE BEZEL SS WITH 14K GOLD AROUND THE BEZEL.
B. OMEGA MARINE CHRONOMETER MODEL 1511 WITH EVERYTHING AS ABOVE BUT WITH PINKISH HANDS WHICH IS A VERY RARE MODEL VERY FEW LIKE THIS MADE.
C. OMEGA ALBATROSS MODEL 1611 COMMERATIVE OF THE 1976 OLYMPIC GAMES IN MONTREAL.
D. EMPORIO ARMANI SILVER DRESS WATCH.

Abe I cut down to this as I just do not have enough time on my hands to look after all those I had as it was getting out of hand, I was like a magpie, annything that shone I bought it, believe me I feel very relieved now. A good friend of mine on this forum DICKSTAR 1977 Tom has done the same thing, although the watches he has left are stunning including what I have plus a few more very expensive ones.

I did not realize it that it was you who bought the OMEGA TC2 crystal I sold as my wife did all the selling as she is the expert on the computer t it is only now I realized it was you, I hope when you get it you are happy with otherwise bitch like hell to me, you have my private email address.

Thank you for all your help in the past without experts like to guide along novices like myself I would have been lost.

Many thanks,
Kindest regards,
John,
KARNAK.

John,

I do definitely understand the need to simplify - and also, paradoxically, the magpie tendency. I've thought about cutting down my collection to maybe 10 or so watches. I don't think I'll ever go below that or get rid of some of my favorites. Thankfully, wristwatches take relatively little space, care, and feeding.

The Omega 1511 is a beauty, I can see why you kept that one.

One reason that I started my web site is so that I can experience more watches without permanently owning them - I take them in, clean them up, enjoy them for a while, and then pass them on to someone else.

I can imagine being happy with just a few watches, though, or even a single one. Having more often feels like less and vice versa.

To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

Hi All,

I advertised that I had 5 OMEGA RED POUCHES for sale, they are brand new and have OMEGA stamped on the top, I had asked for £20 but I have now reduced the price to £15. They are called travel pouches to keep your watch safe. In fact you can use them for carrying any watch safely.Postage to be paid by buyer, payment by PAYPAL.

The website will not even allow me to upload 1 picture response is FILE IS TOO BIG. MAXIMUM ALLOWED SIZE IS 900 KiB. I doubt if it would accept a postage stamp. Sorry but the Moderators are aware and going to get Hanno to fix this problem.

In view of this system error here is my email :::tuscon16@aol.com::: then I will send to your email address. :-(
Thank you,
KARNAK.
