£750 to £800 seems about right to me.
My formula for working out an asking price would be to base it on how much I would actually receive, minus selling fees, if I took the alternative path and sold the watch for the mid-estimate value on eBay, so....
Mid-estimate price = £775
15% selling fees = £116.25
Actual cash amount received = £658.75
I would then divide the selling fees by two, pass half onto the buyer, keep half for myself....
So £116 (ignoring the 25p) divided by two = £58
Theoretical cash received from selling on eBay = £658.75
Add the two together to get to asking price (£658.75 + £58).
Asking price = £716.75
Advantages - You receive more cash for the watch, the buyer pays a lower price for the watch both parties get a great deal.
