Ok serious one (Rado)

Post06 Mar 2014, 01:30

Hi guys spotted this one and thought it looked like a compuchron.
Did Rado have them make some for them.
Never seen one like it before on the bay.
Anyone have any clues. :call:
Here's the link sorry. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mint-Conditio ... ArVA%252Bg  !@@!

I have had tracking numbers that were never recognised and still got the item with no problems and it always takes a day or two for the number to register, so I wouldn't worry too much.

1
Sell your entire watch collection and hire someone to do it for you. Just an

2
If you log into your paypal account and lookup the transaction.
It should say at the bottom somewhere how many days you have to file a claim.
I just checked one of my transactions and it says 45 days after transaction was made.
So i guess it depends on when you get back home from the trip.
After the claim the seller gets a chance to respond etc. etc. so it may take 3 or 4 weeks
to get your money back.

3
Very wise desicion... :grin1:

Re: Ok serious one (Rado)

Post15 Mar 2014, 02:58

OK it's landed. Mmmmm good news bad news doesn't stop.
The band is Huge, probably up to 8 1/2".
I'm not sure but I think that maybe the Pic's are of this watch some time ago.
There are some marks on it that certainly aren't in the pic's.
The watch was shipped in it's box and although it was well wrapped in bubble wrap,
the watch was loose, rattling around in the box. :bang:
Also the buttons are behaving erratic (maybe a clean?)
The 2 o'clock one only does time/secs. (no calendar functions)
The 8 o'clock just date/month. Is this correct? :call:
Cos most of the compuchrons I've seen on ebay, the 2 button does both.

When I set it the set order is, month>date>hour>mins.. If I hold the 2'oclock the numbers
scroll every second on all but the mins. Then I have to press (very hard) and release to get it to move on? :-? :-?

Any ideas guys??
Thanks in advance Pete

Don't forget, Baylor also marketed a CompuChron look-alike. It may even have been a simple re-branding on the crystal, like the Tiffany and Neiman-Marcus Pulsars.

Hi Bruce thanks for the reply.
Now I have it in my hand I have to say it's a heavy watch, the
band looks like a P2 style and the clasp is marked Rado too.
Have you any clues to the minute setting button needing a push to advance each minute,
and not the hour, date and month?
thanks in advance,
Pete
