Bulova Phantom

Post21 Dec 2014, 19:09

Hi my friend....finally i got it!! My grail...the "most wanted watch" for my collection...
Anyway anyway...the watch is not working properly...when i found it in store the watch was running but sometimes the digits changes in a random mode,so for example: 12.08 to 22.18 to 26.38 and go on...about the date function another strange issue: the month works like a seconds so from 1 to 60 ...
Just another curiosity is that sometimes the watch keeps good time if i set it and i leave it for hour and hour on my desk but when i wear it the digits became crazy....12,43,56,76...a real caos.... :x
I remove the thin circuit board that was glued on the plastic but now i'm not able to fix it anymore and i'm not sure if i can use a classic sticker glue..any suggestion?
Anyway i clean it with the classic method but without success and now the watch seems to be dead (maybe the board doesn't make contact anymore?)...

I know that this kind of module is impossible to fix but i'm happy...real happy because finally i got it so i can guard it in my box watches....only for display use... ;-)

Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way

It's pity...nos and not working....i think that probably Seiko won the battle with the F series even if they are thin 3.5 mm....

On the digital front, i'm guessing this Sanyo is thinner than 3mm, have to put a vernier on it
