Hmmm. Just not sure about the Logo.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nixie-tube-cloc ... 2377272278?
It's also bloody big.

I thought exactly the same thing................lose the silly logos !
Other than that I like it. Unusual with 4 tubes. The others I've seen have only 2 (maybe only one ?).
I guess that's why it only lasts 30 days. Looks fairly easy to re-charge though with the that charging dock.

I reckon it's pretty cool :mega:

Actually my first post sounded worse than I meant, maybe?
I like it a lot, save the awful logo's. :~# I might ask him if he will do me one without them.
Also maybe as it's so big, it would look better on one of the extra wide bands a la Fossil et all.
Oh and I completely concur with everything you say. :mega:

I also have to agree that the logo's are a bit much, they make it look like a cheap novelty watch!!! I think it would be better if it lost all the cogs and crap in white and left just the black patterned at the top and bottom of the glass.

The listing states that "The body is made from a single piece of stainless steel. (Size: 52 * 37 * 17mm)" so in comparison to the two that I have it is not that much bigger - given that this one has four tubes I would say that packing all that into such a small case is quite impressive really!!!

I've chucked on some photo's (not to scale) and sizes for comparison (just in case anyone is interested) ... .... ...

Neonica Steampunk Nixie - 52 * 37 * 17mm
Nixie Steam Punk.jpg

Kopriso Nixie Watch - Weight = 74g, Width = 49.96mm, Lug to Lug = 55.2mm (max), Depth = 17.9mm
New Nixie_crop 21.jpg

Nixie tube watch by Cathode Corner - Weight = 67g, Diameter = 55.98mm, Depth = 21.64mm
Nixie Tube x1 ps.jpg

It does look a well engineered watch and I think that losing the space taken up by the large battery (and subsequent battery life) is a sacrifice worth making.

I like it - just needs to loose the logo :~# Please let me know what the seller says about making one minus the logo - and well spotted!!

Hi all esp Mick.
Well after a lot of emails back and forth he has sort of agreed to sell me one without the LOGO etc.
Although it's killing him, in his own words and I quote
"Yesterday I could not sleep for a long time. I do not want to give my
baby with no face
)"
What do we think :?:

Plain Black.jpg

Plain Brown.jpg

His English is poor but my Russian is none existent,
But we have managed to thrash out our differences and to his credit he's listened to all I have had to say.
He has so far designed me lot of different faces for me to look at far to many really. He don't want to
let her go naked. :grin1:
His latest attempt is below.

Slot plain case 2.jpg

If anyone from the UK is seriously considering buying one, PM me and I'll give you the full SP.
Hope he don't change his mind. ~:(
So pleas don't go bombarding him with I want a plain one request's until I've got mine at least. :-D

i would ask him to engrave the word NEONICA in the new metal bezel...just in the middle and a more spread. Up or down.

So he is happy that his watch still has his name on it and it doesn't distract to much.

It's hard for me to judge without seeing it all together but it does look better without the logo. I also forgot to mention I like the watch strap as it is (better in black) I think the smaller band puts more emphasis on the case.

Please keep us updated Pete.

Hi all quick update
I told him several times, I understand about the Name Neonica on the front might be important to him,
and that I have no problem with it in essence, but does it have to be in the same Type found on US
western WANTED posters. :grin1:
So my latest request was for it to be done in black and silver (prefer silver on black)
With the NEONICA on the top in a more Russia type TYPE with none of the silly cogs etc.
With the Russian word жар on the bottom,. It means Glow.

Hi all just wondered if anyone out there was familiar with coral draw.??
I have found 2 or 3 font types I am happy with and need some help designing the front.
After a lot of to-ing and frow-ing it's at a stalemate. So he has suggested I come up with the design myself.
Can anyone help?
PLEASE. :call: :call:

The font looks good to me, I like it as it is, attractive but over done so to distract from the display - definitely better than the cogs!

Can you size it and shop it onto the original? You could then have a play around with it to see what looks the best.

Hi Mick, :Hi: sad to say no.
Any big purchases have been put on the back burner. (by me anyway)
So many other things on the bucket list, I have to say it starts to hit home reaching 55
as I did last week. ( so where was my happy birthday? :grin1: :grin1: :grin1: Only jokin.)
Good in some ways not in others. Although the Mrs asked me what I wanted to do for my
B day 3 days before hand and out of the blue I said Silvertstone F1.
Well blow me if we didn't have Friday to Sunday tickets in Club Silverstone Hospitality with
seats in Becketts grandstand. I was gob smacked....... Have I ever told you how much I love her?
She got em half price. So something good came out of the doom and gloom. (brexit and the circus)
Did you know this is the worst year for GB F1 ticket sales.
I wonder why.   (Bernie must be feeling it! Yeah rite... )
Guess now's the time to cash in eh?
As my old man always said it's an ill wind that blows no fate. :ironie:
I will Pm you... Or something dude.
All the best, P air
Ps. :Hi: to all and if I ever get him to let me have one without the Logo's etc and I have the
disposable income to purchase said watch I will post photo's here first.
All the best to all on DWF.
