I was looking through eBay to see if there was anything interesting around and came across a watch being sold which was fitted with a Hughes Module nothing unusual about that you might say, however this module was made in Scotland.
So I did a bit of research and discovered there was a Hughes Microelectronics plant in Glenrothes Fife, the plant was opened in 1960 and in 1997 it merged with Raytheon which is still there today making who knows what for the military this module was made in the same plant all those years ago, also I live local to this plant I've seen it...as the old saying goes you learn something new every day.
The seller of this watch has done a great job and uploaded detailed pictures of the watch and module, clear as day you can see Made In Scotland in one of the photo's.
