Unless you are interested in history, the design process, the marketing process and the people involved in all the aforementioned. Myself, I don't personally wear a watch very often, despite owning upwards of 750(from Pulsars to "Pez" watches)....I like fixing them for others(despite the sometimes "questionable" designs), I am intrigued by the different internal mechanisms, I enjoy the challenge of making them come to life and learning about the historical aspects of horology. It's one of those "different strokes for different folks" things - one man's fugly is another man's "cool & eccentric". 8) I think the Synchronar is a bit ugly, but I also think it is one of the coolest watches going, from it's design features to it's inventor(I loved seeing a picture of Roger Riehl,Sr. in a newspaper clip of him in high school, winning the science fair for an electronic scoreboard he designed). To me a working Synchronar is like having the History Channel on my wrist - but hey, not everyone gets sentimental about those kinds of things.
