Bruce - that is about the going rate for that book in opened condition....I paid $130 for one like yours, but about $100 more for an factory wrapped copy, complete with an advert. in Japanese for some of their other books. It is fascinating to look at, and many of the ads and text are in English, so there isn't a complete language baracade.
Doensen's "Watch" generally runs the same...$89 on ebay, but add on the shipping and you are at $125-130. I have a case of NOS copies of
that book for $140/each with shipping worldwide included.
I just picked up another Japenese book I'd never seen before....I'll try to do a review of it soon.
It's said that 10% of the population buys 90% of the books sold....I like to think a higher percentage of collectors would want books on watches, but I understand for many it really is all about the "bling".
